About Congregation BHBI
We are a small, friendly, Independent Conservative Congregation with a long history in Rochester. Our member-led services, in which both men and women participate fully, provide a warm and intimate setting in which each congregant may participate and learn according to their own level of interest and comfort. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, with opportunities for children to participate throughout the service.
BHBI, fomerly located on East Ave, has now moved into rented space in the Temple Beth El bulding. Services take place in the former TBE "pastoral counceling room" on the ground floor next to the elevator. Our office, and room for kiddushim, is in the TBE school wing. Weekly Shabbat Morning services are held each Saturday, beginning at 9:30 am. See the monthly calendar on our Home page for specific times and dates. Visitors are always welcome!
