About Congregation BHBI

We are a small, friendly, Independent Conservative Congregation with a long history in Rochester. Our member-led services, in which both men and women participate fully, provide a warm and intimate setting in which each congregant may participate and learn according to their own level of interest and comfort. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, with opportunities for children to participate throughout the service.

BHBI is located in the heart of the historic East Avenue preservation district, close to the town of Brighton and the Park Avenue neighborhood. Weekly Shabbat Morning services are held each Saturday, beginning at 10:00 am. Kiddush usually includes a light lunch. Most Sundays, the Men's Club hosts a service, breakfast, and discussion beginning at 9:00 am, to which all are invited. See the monthly calendar on our Home page for specific times and dates. Visitors are always welcome!

Further details about our Congregation's activities and services can be found on our More Information page.

Copies of our monthly Congregational Bulletin can be viewed and downloaded on our Bulletin page.

For further information, contact our shul office or one of the Congregation's Officers.
